THIS Sunday - New Sermon Series on Galatians - This Sunday we are beginning a new sermon series on Galatians. We will be in the letter for several weeks. A great way to prepare for worship would be to read the whole letter (or even listen to it!)

Ktizo Gallery & Nook Auction - Our first showing for the Ktizo Gallery & Nook last Sunday went very well. We met several people interested in what we are doing including friends from other Nazarene churches, local artists, neighbors, and the manager of another nearby gallery.

The event kicked off a weeklong auction for all of Reyna Elizabeth's work. All proceeds will go to benefit Gotitas de Amor in Guatemala City. The auctions end at 6:00 PM on Sunday, so if you were planning on bidding, you'll want to get it in soon. Go and bid now! If nothing else, you can make a winning bid to support Gotitas and give the pastel drawing away. (Christmas isn't far away!)

Wednesday Evenings - We had a great conversation for the first week of our discussion on the book Public Jesus: Exposing the Nature of God in Your Community. While anyone can read the book, you don't have to in order to join the conversation. Bring your dinner at 6:00 PM or come around 7:00~ for discussion.

Guatemala Partnership Meeting Monday Night - We have heard back from Pastor Pedro in Guatemala City. We have some important decisions to make and have a meeting on Monday (9/17) at 7:00 PM in the Newell Gathering Room. We would value your input.

Your Spanish Word of the Week - Our word this week is asociación, which means "partnership."

  • Dr. Dick Fish will be on the radio in October! Mark your calendars now to listen on October 27 at 10:00 AM on 590 AM. Dick will be talking about Christian Debt Relief. More information about this new show put on by Eastern Nazarene College is here
  • Did you know that the older children's Sunday School class has begun Children's Bible Quizzing? This is an exciting way for the kids to learn the scriptures as our teachers use illustrations and lessons to bring the passages to life. Pray for our kids as they learn!
  • Can you believe that All Hallow's Eve is less than seven weeks away? As we're planning ahead to light up the neighborhood again this year, would you wash and set aside you clear plastic gallon milk/juice jugs again? Just bring them to the chapel and place them in the kitchen. Thanks!
