 April 19, 2012

This Sunday This Sunday we will continue in the themes of resurrection & life by looking at John's words in his first epistle: "See what love the Father has given us! ...that we should be called children of God." (I John 3:1-7).

Work Day @ Thaxter Park - On Sunday, April 29, plan on staying after worship to help clean up the area around Thaxter Park, where several members of our church live just a hundred yards or so north of the chapel. As we strive to be a good neighbor as a church community, we'll be serving for a couple of hours doing yard work and more. So wear your outdoor work clothes and come prepared to be the Church.

CPR and First Aid Course On May 5th from 9am to 1pm join us as Ed teaches us how to save a life!   You can chose to become certified or not.  Certification from the Red Cross will cost $35.  Contact Christina for more details and to also confirm that you will be attending.

  • Our sister church in South Weymouth (385 Ralph Talbot St.) invites any interested to hear Dr. John Wang speak on Sunday, April 29th at 6:00 PM.  He is a medical doctor, an internist, and cardiologist who has practiced medicine since 1965. He is now an Adjunct Professor in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Massachusetts-Lowell.  His church home is the Lowell Nazarene Church.  He is the founder of Peruvian Children's Fund and is leaving very soon to fulfill the commitment of a 3-year medical project in Ancash Province, Peru.  He has a wonderful story to tell.  He has a passion to help the poorest of poor children in the Peruvian Jungles.  His call is to provide for both physical and spiritual needs. He is coming seeking our prayer support as he walks this journey.
