As she does every year, Dorothy Newell invites any and all to join her in bell-ringing for the Salvation Army from 10:00-11:00 a.m. this Saturday (Dec. 4) at the lower level of the Sears store at South Shore Plaza, Braintree.
3. Christmas Caroling
Christmas Caroling with sweets, sandwiches and hot chocolate with residents of Thaxter Park will be held at their Community Center, 30 Thaxter Street, Hingham, on Sunday, Dec. 19 at 5:30 p.m.
4. Christmas Shoppe
The Christmas Shoppe of Friends of the Homeless of the Shore will be housed in the Newell Gathering Room starting Thursday, Dec. 9, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays and Saturdays through Dec. 24 for picking out gifts and wrapping for family bundles. Hours can be arranged for volunteers who can only help in the evenings. Donors are still needed to adopt families needing Christmas gifts.
