Sunday - As we continue in the story of Jacob this week, we come to Genesis 31.Be sure to be present this week as Pastor Dennis Scott will be preaching!

Guatemala Partnership - Our next partnership meeting will take place on Thursday August 2nd at 7pm. These partnership meetings are open to everyone and not to just those who were able to make the past trip or to those planning on going on the next one. Some discussion will take place about our next trip, the direction of our partnership and fundraising ideas. If you are unable to make it but have ideas please talk to someone. Also, if you're on Facebook and haven't found the partnership group with Iglesia de Vida Abundante, go here to do so. This is one way to continue getting to know one another as we continue to develop relationships with the ministry in Guatemala City.

Nadine Sa is looking for a cheap but reliable used car. So if you hear of anyone trying to sell one, let her know!
Bobbie Coletti reports that her computer died. She wanted everyone to know in case someone was trying to contact her through email. In other news...if you hear of any extra computers laying around...

Sunday - As we continue in the story of Jacob this week, we come to Genesis 30:25-43: Insider Trading. Jacob once again gets the best of another through some witty thinking and acting. I'm looking forward to worshiping with you this week. Would you pray for me and my family as we head out on vacation this coming week? Tumbleweed Gulch - Wow! What a week it's been so far with our kids and Kids Week workers! The children have been hearing great stories from the Bible including that of Moses, Jonah, Zaccheus, and Paul. A lot of work has gone into this by many people. It's been great and we pray that grace is abounds as we continue to lead our kids to God.

Note on our worship time - After some great feedback from so many of you, the church board decided to keep our current Sunday morning schedule indefinitely. So we will continue to worship at 9:30 AM with Sunday School right after (10:30~).

Wow! There's so much going on this week in our church community. Be sure to read about it all below!

Sunday - This Sunday, July 15th will be a big day of community & celebration for our church as we install Rev. Dennis M. Scott as Associate Pastor, receive new members, and baptize three people. After service we will have a potluck lunch (there will be no Sunday school this Sunday). Everyone is invited to share in this great day!

Free Family Fun Night: Tumbleweed Hoedown - This Saturday, July 14th from 6pm-9pm. Come enjoy some burgers, hot dogs, and drinks and take part in some fun games, face painting, a moon bounce, temporary tattoos and crafts. At dusk we'll start a movie under the stars! Be sure to bring a friend.

Kids' Summer Fun Week - Kids' Week VBS is next week! Tumbleweed Gulch is a dry, dusty small town in the old West. It was an exciting place to be during the "good old days" of the gold rush. However, since the gold mines dried up and most of the people left, a long drought has nearly sapped the hope out of the people who stayed behind. But there is hope! Throughout the week, people will slowly change from feeling dry and depressed to buoyant and cheerful. The children will learn how the Western World of Tumbleweed Gulch is changed by God's love and provision. Through stories, games, music and snacks, the children will also learn how God's love changes their lives, direction, attitude, actions and future!

Guatemalan Night Out - NEXT Saturday evening July 21: Family Night out at Paisano's Guatemalan Restaurant in Waltham. Authentic Guatemalan food and music. There is a sign-up sheet in the foyer. You can also see Ed DiSante for more details!

This Sunday - Greetings from beautiful Windsor Hills Camp in Hillsboro, NH! My family and I are here for the New England District Family Camp. I’ve been teaching the morning adult Bible study on the Sermon on the Mount. It’s going great and the Lord has been speaking to me as well. We will be back late Saturday night in time to worship with you on Sunday morning, during which we’ll continue our journey in Jacob’s story. I look forward to seeing you Sunday! – Pastor Jeremy

Community Sunday: Membership, Baptism, & Installation - Sunday, July 15th will be a special day for our church community. We'll be receiving new members, possibly baptizing a couple of people, and installing Rev. Dennis Scott as our Associate Pastor. There will be no Sunday School that day and we'll celebrate after worship with a potluck gathering. Plan now on being here for this exciting Sunday!

SAVE THE DATE! Saturday evening July 21: Family Night out at Paisano's Guatemalan Restaurant in Waltham. Authentic Guatemalan food and music. There is a sign-up sheet in the foyer. You can also see Ed Disante for more details!

We all know that the summer is such a different time, with a change in pace and schedule for so many. Pray for our church community this summer as people travel, rest, and play.
