1. This Sunday (Nov. 14th)
We will wrap up our short series on worship this week by looking at John 4:1-30. What does God ask of us, his worshipers? Our prayer chorus for this Sunday is "Only You"- David Crowder BandAlso, the Remembrance will take place at 6:00 PM. We'll head to the Table together in the theme of the Beatitudes in Matthew 5. Two new songs will be introduced: "Words to Build a Life On" by Mike Crawford and "God of This City" by Chris Tomlin. Hope to worship with you there!
2. North Street Community Discernment of God's Mission
The survey is ready to be completed by everyone. Please let Jeremy know how you would like to receive and fill out this survey: 1. Online, 2. MS Word document (.doc), or 3. on a paper copy. Please understand that this survey is a tool and not a goal, a means and not an end. Answer the questions that you can as best as you can. Thanks to those who've already finished a survey!
3. Coffeehouse at St. Pauls Church of the Nazarene
There will be a coffeehouse at St. Pauls Church of the Nazarene in Duxbury on Saturday, November 20th at 7pm. All are invited to come and enjoy the musical selections and/or perform. Food/coffee will be provided , but please consider bringing a snack to share. Ask Sarah for more details.
4. Sunday November 21st/ Christ the King Sunday
First we will be receiving new members during worship gathering.
After we worship, we will have a Thanksgiving themed Pot-luck. There is a sign-up sheet located in the foyer attached to the bulletin board where the North St. Community Discernment material is displayed. We are looking for people to bring various Thanksgiving themed items: turkey, ham, stuffing, gravy, vegetables, rolls/bread, salads, desserts and anything else you can think of. Please email Ryan Ardrey if you can assist in any manner.
Then after we eat at 2:30pm we will decorate our chapel for Advent & Christmas. Can you believe it!?
5. Thanksgiving Community Choir/Thanksgiving Service
If you are interested in being part of the choir at the community Thanksgiving service in Hingham (Old Ship Parish), please email Sarah. The service will be Wednesday evening, November 24th. Rehearsal is at 6pm followed by the service at 7pm.
