Just a quick reminder about this weekend. We are well into the Easter Triduum.Today is Good Friday. We'll observe Christ's death together this evening in our annual Service of Shadows at 7:00.
Tomorrow is Holy Saturday. Perhaps you'll recognize the day in some kind of holy rest. On this Sabbath day, Christ rested in the tomb, the disciples were scattered, confused, and fearful. Though we know that "Sunday's a-comin'," they did not and it's good to recognize their emptiness and loneliness - if for one day only. Perhaps this article by ENC Professor, Eric Severson, would help you understand the day.
And of course, Sunday is Resurrection Sunday. We'll gather early at 6:00 AM to reverse Friday with a Service of Light. After we'll eat breakfast together. And of course, we'll celebrate the resurrection and beginning of Easter at 10:30 AM.
