And, we need a better name for the space!  Send your ideas to Sarah or Ed.

1. This Sunday - This week's focus in our Words to Build a Life on series looks at Matthew 5:38-42 concerning the things of retaliation and hospitality. What does it mean to "turn the other cheek?"  What should our response be when we are unjustly minimalized, taken advantage of, and hurt financially or even physically?

Hope to see you Sunday!

1. This Sunday - As we forge ahead in the Sermon on the Mount this week as part of our Words to Build a Life on series, we'll look at how Jesus speaks of "oaths & authenticity."

Sarah will be introducing a new song by Casting Crowns called Lifesong.  You can preview it here.

2. 9-11 10th Anniversary Interfaith Service of Remembrance & Peace You are invited to gather with others from our community as we share together in remembering the events of September 11, 2001 through songs, readings, prayers, and silence.  This interfaith service is sponsored by the Hingham & Hull Religious Leaders Association.  4:00-4:30 pm at the First Parish Old Ship 107 Main St., Hingham.

In addition, earlier in the day at the time of the strike of the first tower at the World Trade Center (8:46 AM), we will be ringing our steeple bells with the other churches throughout town in remembrance. If you want to come, we'll gather outside the front of the chapel to stand in solidarity as the bells ring. (And you'll be nice and early for Sunday School!)
